Skills Pursuit 2008

The new competition of the NetSpace Skills Pursuit is designed to recognize the top student and alumni players in the world and reward them with real prizes. Will you be one of the top players in your category (PC Technician, Network Technician, Network Associate, or Network Professional) and win a prize package?

Starting 23 October 2008 at 12:01 a.m. Central time (GMT-5hrs) students and alumni are encouraged to apply their networking skills to real world problems in a new online NetSpace Skills Pursuit competition. Join in the fun and explore how networking can be used to solve a multitude of problems and enhance the lives of those who are connected.

In order to participate in the NetSpace Skills Pursuit, you must have a registered public profile at www.academynetspace.com.

All Game Boards are designed to give participants an opportunity to measure their score against peers in the same education level. During the competition period, participants may only enter one (1) category:

  • Packet Tracer 5.0 if you are playing on Network Technician, Network Associate or Network Professional tracks
  • Virtual Desktop/Virtual Laptop if you are playing on the PC Technician track. These programs are available free of charge to Networking Academy students and alumni.

All Game Boards are designed to give participants an opportunity to measure their score against peers in the same education level. During the competition period, participants may only enter one (1) category:

  1. PC Technician – Students currently enrolled in IT Essentials or alumni who have completed only IT Essentials courses through Cisco Networking Academy should select this category.
  2. Network Technician – Students currently enrolled in CCNA 1, CCNA 2, CCNA Exploration 1 or 2, CCNA Discovery 1 or 2 or alumni whose highest level of completed course work through Cisco Networking Academy was any of the above should select this category.
  3. Network Associate – Students currently enrolled in CCNA 3, CCNA 4, CCNA Exploration 3 or 4, CCNA Discovery 3 or 4, or alumni whose highest level of completed course work through Cisco Networking Academy was any of the above should select this category.
  4. Network Professional – Students currently enrolled in CCNP, Network Security, or Fundamentals of Wireless LANs or alumni whose highest level of completed course work through Cisco Networking Academy was CCNP, Security, or Wireless should select this category.
